KVM (Kernel Virtual Machine) image

The KVM image allows you to explore or test the Ubuntu MID environment within a kvm virtual machine. The mid-8.04.1-kvm.tar.gz tarball includes both a VM image and the ubuntu.kvm launching script.

Install Images

The install images allow you to install Ubuntu MID on a target device, by booting off a USB key or similar removable media.

There are two images available, each for a different target device:

McCaslin Install Image
For targets based on the McCaslin platform
Menlow Install Image
For targets based on the Menlow platform

Moblin Image Creator project tarballs

The Moblin Image Creator project tarballs allow you to use the facilities of Moblin Image Creator to modify or extend the target images, and customise for your specific target device.

There are two project tarballs available, each for a different platform:

McCaslin Moblin Image Creator Tarball
For targets based on the McCaslin platform
Menlow Moblin Image Creator Tarball
For targets based on the Menlow platform
